Well done: to the Cavan Senior Team who drew with Tyrone in the Ulster Semi Final on Sunday last in Clones. The game was played in continuous rain which made play more difficult but fair play to both teams who made it a very exciting spectacle. While Ciaran Brady didn’t start he gave the pass from which David Givney scored the Goal to draw the game. The replay is fixed for Sunday week 3rd July back in Clones with the losers at home to Carlow probably the following Saturday.
Well done also to the Cavan Ladies Senior Team who defeated reigning champions Donegal in the Ulster Championship Semi Final on Saturday last in Killyclogher. They now meet neighbours Monaghan in the Ulster Final also on 3rd July – hopefully it will be a double header. Their Manager is Arva man Conor Barry and we wish him and the team every success in the final.
Arva GAA: Due to the Draw between Cavan and Tyrone there will not be any league games for the foreseeable future – the Championship against Killinkere will most likely be our next game.
